THE PROBLEM
As the company has expanded post-pandemic, more and more of their employees started working remotely. Leadership wanted to bring the entire company together for their first every in person all hands retreat. Because this has never been done, an entire new identity needed to be created.

THE PITCH
I presented my vision to multiple stakeholders - leadership, heads of marketing, and Human Resources - explaining my thought process. To represent the vast network of employees, skill sets, and jobs within the company, each letter of the logo would be unique yet coming together to create something greater as whole. I was inspired by letterpress typography with varying weights.

THE SOLUTION
By capitalizing on the built in fan base of Rocky Horror, Haven created an immersive Rocky Horror themed Halloween party, complete with drag queens, pole dancing, live performances and more.

My job was to create a visual identity that expressed the unique personality and lineup of the event while also giving homage to the movie that inspired the evening and market the event to Chicago. This was Haven’s first year producing a Halloween event so a new precedent and audience had to be established. I designed graphics ranging from emails to posters to social media ads utilizing layered textures, distinct fonts, and even photographing my own painted lips to be the hero image.

RESULT
The conference was a rousing success, allowing employees to connect and grow together and showcase the care and gratitude HFA has for their team through the attention to detail in every touch point of design. From nameteags and  t-shirts to signage and way finding.
